Bandwidth Requirements

For home use you should have a minimum of 2.5MBPS per device.

If you are a teacher hosting a Zoom or a Teams meeting from home or outside the district, you will need a minimum of 3MBPS per device.

If you are not sure how much bandwidth you have in your location you can go to https://www.speedtest.net and run a test. If you have any problems doing this you can call your internet provider and ask what plan you have.

Best practice:

• Make sure other people in your household are not movie streaming, playing videogames or any large downloading such as files or programs at the same time you are in class. Doing this tends to use a lot of your bandwidth.
